No Kill Resources

At PetCompassion.com, we love pets and are bringing together shelters and resources for No-Kill causes.  It is important that we know that pet population control is the best way to save lives through spaying and neutering.  This helps avoid homeless pets who may be destroyed.  PetCompassion.com has listed our supporting No-Kill Shelters on this page.  Our cause is growing every month.  If you have a no-kill shelter in the south east United States and would like to be added to our resource list call us at (615)-791-0827.

The No Kill Philosophy is one that euthanasia is an absolute last resort.  Responsible No-Kill shelters and rescues euthanize pets ONLY for health and safety reasons listed below:

  1. Animals for whom euthanasia is the most humane alternative due to disease, injury or suffering that can't be alleviated;
  2. Vicious dogs, the placement of whom would constitute a danger to the public; and
  3. Dogs who pose a public health hazard.
